Live Events generally have live performance-centered storylines. In this event type, players progress through Event Business to partake in Event Lives that gradually grow more difficult.
Event Business functions the same as normal Business, except that there are no Audition Battles. The player can enter Lives through Business. These lives will start small, but gradually grow to require 3,000,000 voltage maximum. The size of the Live will dwindle again if the Lives aren't completed.
If the player hasn't reached the Crowd Voltage required in the Live, a button at the top reading 参加要請を送る (send a participation request) will appear on the Live screen. Tap on this button to invite 10 additional people to assist with the completion of the Live. Each time the player participates in the Live again, the button will reappear, so it is possible to invite many people for assistance.
The invited users can be adjusted by tapping the 参加要請のリクェスト先を設定する tab beneath the button. This will show a page with three checkboxes, which can be used to select which users are invited.
- 同僚に送信 (Invite Coworkers)
- チームに送信 (Invite Team members)
- 同僚、チーム以外に送信 (Invite people outside of Coworkers/Team)
Occasionally, while going through business, the player will run into a Secret Live. These Lives require only 100 voltage, so they can complete them with just 20 AP. Be sure to do them quick, as unlike regular Lives, they offer more event points and expire after only 10 minutes.
Participating in Other Producers' Lives[edit | edit source | hide]
Just as the player is able to send out live invitations to others, other Producers can also send invitations to the player. When this happens, 開催中 (Now Open) will be displayed on the Event Live button. This button leads to the ライブ一覧 (Live Summary) and displays a list of Lives that the player can participate in.
Lives the Producer has participated in or initiated will be marked with 参加中 (Participating). In the Producer has yet to participate, the Live will be marked with red text reading 未参加 (Not Participating).
|
Every Live Participation entry lists:
- The size of the Live
- The time remaining (終了まで)
- The initiator of the Live (主催者)
- The current Chain (現在 n チェイン)
- The number of participating Producers (参加人数)
- The number of audience members (観客動員者)
- The current Voltage and the Voltage needed (会場のボルテージ)
|
Clicking the 参加する (Participate) button will bring the player to the Live's Appeal page.
The structure of Lives from other Producers is the same as regular Lives, except that the player can't invite more people and the tension bar will increase. When the tension bar reaches 100, the player enters Bonus Time. The player's tension can only be increased by participating in lives from others, not their own.
The amount of tension gained from using AP can be seen in the box in the top right. For example, in this picture, the player gains 29 tension points for using 80 AP.
During bonus time, all points gained from Lives are doubled. This is the best opportunity to respond to other people's lives and start premium lives.
A Premium Live is a 6,000,000 voltage Live that you can hold by using a Premium Live Pass. These passes can be gained through event rewards or participating in Lives.
To maximize the points gained in any sort of Live, the player has to come in '1st place', i.e: use the highest amount of voltage out of anyone participating in the live. For that reason, many people will try to complete at least half of the Live (so 3 million points out of 6 million) so that they can ensure they get 1st place.
There is a limit to the number of Lives that the player can participate in at once.
- One must be a Live that the player started themselves (regular Live)
- One must be a Premium Live (hosted by others or the player; includes secret Live)
- The other three can be either category
Once they're all filled, the player can't start any other Lives until they're completed.
- Try to participate in someone else's premium live, or start your own
- You can use 20 AP each turn and keep sending out live invites until others respond; this way, you'll get points as well
- Check all of the boxes in the invitation settings so that you can invite as many people as possible
- Jelly run method:
- Go through business, filling up your live slots with regular lives. When your AP gets to 100, use it in one of the lives, but don't invite any other users (yet)
- As you proceed through business, your AP will increase (when the characters with an orange background approach you). Use this AP on the other lives you started
- Since your regular slots are all filled, you can do business without any interruption from new lives (this is why we don't complete the lives immediately or invite others; the interruption would occur too often). The only exception is secret lives, which you can complete pretty quickly
- Once all of your regular lives have a decent amount of AP in them, you can start inviting others and going through business to increase your AP even more. Just try to get at least half of the voltage in your live complete yourself so that you can be in 1st place for the most points
- Repeat forever
- Don't use premium tickets unless you're in bonus time
- In order to send out invites quickly without someone else stepping in to get 1st place, after you press the blue button to use AP, go back on your browser, refresh the page, and send out an invite. Then repeat the process (the game will automatically repeat your action and send another set of invites)
- Also, don't be afraid to ask your friends to invite you to their premium live! You can do this by being their Cowoker in game, and asking them to invite you with only the 'Coworkers' box checked in the live invitation settings. Eventually, they can invite you to their live
Marathon Events have longer Event Scenes than other events, and often have film or drama-centric storylines. It is the only Event type that do not feature a Live component, so it is often considered the most suitable for beginners. As well, Marathon Events have Event Reports rather than Event Scouting Tickets.
Event Business functions the same as normal Business except that there are no Lives or Audition Battles. In Marathon Events, the goal is to progress through multiple stages of Business in order to clear areas. There are six sections, consisting of three areas of five Business stages each.
During Business, the player can randomly encounter Appeal Chance. There are three types of Appeals the player can choose to do: Normal Appeal (0 AP) / Good Appeal (50 AP) / Perfect Appeal (Cheer Megaphone). These Cheer Megaphones can only be earned and used in Marathon events; any Cheer Megaphones that are not used in the current event carry over to the next one. Using multiple Megaphones will multiply the amount of Event Points earned. Using 2 Megaphones earns a 2.2x multiplier while using 3 Megaphones earns a 3.6x multiplier. At the end of an Area, an Appeal Battle will be triggered against an Official Unit. These are the same as Audition Battles.
Follow Development and Special Follow[edit | edit source | hide]
During Appeal Chance, フォロー発生 (Follow Development) can randomly occur. With Follow Development, any Event Points earned are doubled.
Sometimes, a スペシャルフォロー (Special Follow) can also occur, tripling any Event Points earned. Regular Follows are depicted with an Event R or SR, while Special Follows are depicted with an Event R+ or SR+.
After certain Follows, Bonus Time will activate. Regular Follows will trigger 5 minutes of Bonus Time. Special Follows will trigger 7 minutes of Bonus Time.
Instead of Event Scouting Tickets, Marathon Events offer Event Reports which can be earned by completing an Area, winning Appeal Battles, and through Appeal Chances. These Reports are then submitted to President Saito for rewards. Sometimes, Idols will stop by and offer a special reward.

休憩時間 (Break Time) allows the player to talk to one of six Idols and earn one of three rewards: 20 Stamina Points, 20 Appeal Points, and Bonus Time. 1 point is earned through Conversation Chances during Business and through finishing an Area Step (1/5). 10 points are earned through finishing an entire Area (5/5). After the first Area is cleared, Break Time is triggered automatically. Manually triggering Break Time from the Event's front page costs 10 points; any Break Time triggered during Business is free.
In Break Time, an Idol will ask the Producer for their advice or opinion and present them with three different options. There are two to three questions that he will ask, but the responses to each of the answers are reportedly randomized.
- Try to use Event Reports fast and early, at least until you get the Guaranteed Event Point R Scout Ticket, as it gives you another 20% point bonus
- Save your Event AP bars for when you have unlocked all three Point R cards since they provide a 60% bonus in your point overall
- Megaphones can be used in any Marathon Event, so save them for later if you're not ranking
- You can 'store' Follows (and therefore potential Bonus Time) by being in Bonus Time and going back through previous sections of the Event Business until you get an Appeal Chance. Then repeat with the other Event sections until all of them are filled with Follow Appeal Chances
- Only use three Megaphones at once for the highest point bonus
- Once Bonus Time is getting low (less than 2 minutes left), try to activate another Bonus Time by going through Break Time until you get it

Bingo Events, officially known as Photoshoot, generally have photoshoot or promotional video-centered storylines. In this event type, players progress through a 'bingo' board of Preparation panels (Business) for the Shooting (Live).
There are four degrees of difficulty in ascending order: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Hyper. Clearing three Shootings will allow players to move onto the next difficulty.
At the start of each photoshoot, the player is presented with a 3-by-3 board of Preparation panels to choose from. Each panel is randomly assigned a value which gives points: Perfect (4) / Good (2) / Normal (1). Every board has three Perfect panels, two Good panels, and four Normal panels. Perfect panels are arranged in a line on the board horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
A total of twelve points are needed to trigger a Shooting.
The process of Shooting is the same as doing a Live. The Crowd Voltage needed for the Live is dependent on the current difficulty. Players may encounter a random Premium Live during Shooting; by completing a Premium Shooting, they will enter Break Time, which doubles all event points gained and triples Preparation points for the next eight minutes.
Throughout the event, players may collect Special Event Items (different in each event). Special Event Items multiply Voltage Points by 10; stacking these Special Event Items will increase the multiplier.

- Play as usual, but don't go to Hyper difficulty unless you're in Bonus Time; it uses up too much stamina otherwise
- Don't use Special Event Items! They can be traded in for 100% Stamina Jelly once the event has ended
- If you're trying to complete the Shooting Preparation Panel Missions, try lowering your difficulty to Easy or Normal, as they use less stamina and you won't have to waste Stamina Jellies that way
- As with casual players, don't go to Hyper difficulty unless you're in Bonus Time
- Try to save Special Event Items for if you start a Shooting when Bonus Time is nearly ending (<1 minute left), as they can allow you to fulfill the Crowd Voltage much quicker

Four teams compete for points by participating in Public Performances, held over three rounds per day.
Live Produce Events are the newest Event type, introduced July 31, 2017 in HxJ CHEER UP LIVE!. In this Event type, players complete auditions and special programs (Business/Audition Battles) that grant Live Tickets. These are used to hold Lives of different sizes.
Producers earn Live Tickets by completing Business. There are three types of Business to choose from, each depleting a certain amount of Stamina: Easy (-3) / Normal (-15) / Hard (-50). Hard Business becomes available once a Live in a Medium Venue has been completed. Business is completed in increments of 20%, meaning that a total of 15, 75, or 250 Stamina is used to complete one Step of Business, depending on the Difficulty. Completing Business will earn Live Tickets and Event Points.

After Business has been completed, Producers can choose from four different Programs to Audition for. Each Program Audition will have a certain Size, Demographic, and Media. The Size determines how many Live Tickets and Event Points can be earned upon completion. The Demographics are split between Kids (Pop), Teens (Cool), and Adults (Chic), which will affect the Focus of the Live to be held later. Each Program falls under three different Media types: Radio (Vocal), Television (Dance), and Magazine (Visual). The Media types will affect the Support Idols in the Live as well.
Selecting a Program will trigger an Audition Battle against an unspecified Idol Unit. The size of the Program will determine how many Appeal Points are needed to complete it, along with how many Live Tickets and Event Points are earned.

Lives can be started by tapping on the ライプロデュース (Live Produce) button. Three different Venue sizes can be selected, each needing a certain amount of Live Tickets to complete: Small (800), Medium (3,000), and Large (15,000). After selecting the Venue size, a Live Prep page displays certain options and parameters which be set before starting the Live. The 目標発揮値 (Target Exhibition Goal) is displayed. Below that, the Live Concept can be set. The percentage of whichever Concept is chosen (Pop, Cool, Chic) is added onto the Appeal Rate that takes effect after the Live Unit carries out its appeal. For example, if a Producer starts a Live that uses the Pop Concept, and the Producer's Demographics are 40% Kids, the Modified Appeal Rate is then 1.40x. In addition, a second Burst Appeal will sometimes take place, depending on the Produce Level.
For reference, the percentage breakdown of the Demographics and Media is displayed in a pie chart. The Media breakdown can help determine which Live Unit to use, keeping in mind which Media and Value is higher.
Special Items called "Producer Passion" can be used, which are similar to the Special Items used during Live Events. While Live Events multiply Estimated Appeal Power by 10 per use, the increase that Producer Passion offers has not yet been specifically determined. Up to 5 can be used during 1 Live.
The amount of Event Points earned from the Live is the same as however much Crowd Voltage is earned after the Live itself. If the Actual Crowd Voltage surpasses the Goal from the Live Prep page, the Live could earn a Good or above result. Otherwise, the Live will achieve a Normal result.
Completing Lives earns EXP points that count towards the Produce Level. With a Level Cap of 5, increasing the Produce Level will increase the chance of an extra Burst Appeal Chance during lives. Approximately .1% of a Live's Appeal Points will be earned as EXP after a Live ends.
Completing a Live will present the opportunity to chat with an Idol. The mood of the Idol will depend on the outcome of the Live. If a Normal result is achieved, he will appear disappointed or dejected. If a Good result is achieved, he will be excited. The Producer will reply which may include, but not limited to: 大丈夫! (It's okay!), 頑張って! (Do your best!), and さすが! (Just like I thought!) An extra 50 EXP is earned after chatting with the Idols.
- The Offers don’t expire until you restart work, so wait for AP to replenish naturally rather than using AP bars
- Save up your tickets until you can do a 3,000 ticket live to unlock the hard mode. Then try to save your tickets until you can do 15,000 ticket lives, as they give the most points
- Don't use Produce Passion unless you're ranking for the SR idol, since you can exchange them for full AP bars once the event is over. If are ranking, then only use it when you're doing a 15,000 ticket live
- Try to aim for the same demographic in general, but if you see a Special Program, then go for that instead, even if it isn't the same demographic as what you've been building so far (unless you're aiming to get a very high rank, in which case the bonus from aiming for the same demographic may be more useful)
- Age demographic matters more than type of media
