Genbu Kurono is one of the Idols available to produce at 315 Productions. He was a former intelligent high school delinquent before forming the Idol Unit Shinsoku Ikkon with Suzaku Akai.

Profile

Genbu is a former intellectual delinquent, also known as "Ice-Sword Genbu." He attends the same school as his partner, Suzaku, and is one grade above him. Genbu spent his childhood in a juvenile orphanage. From a young age, he has been passionate about his studies and is always at the top of his class. Genbu often mixes esoteric four-kanji Japanese idioms and historical Chinese idioms together when he speaks¹.

Etymology

• The name Genbu means "mysterious, occultness" (玄) (gen) and "military, martial" (武) (mu/bu).
• Genbu's surname Kurono means "black" (黒) (kuro) and "field, wilderness" (野) (no).

Trivia

• Standing at 190 cm tall, Genbu is the 2nd tallest idol in the entire iDOLM@STER series.
• Genbu's in-game stat spread is 5 vocal, 5 dance, and 5 visual. He is the only character to be uniquely equal among all his stats.
