Tone and Style[edit | edit source | hide]
General[edit | edit source | hide]
- Articles should be written in the present active voice, not the passive voice.
- ✔︎ : "Ken caused the error."
- × : "The error was caused by Ken."
- Articles must be written in the third person and must avoid second person. References must always be made to "the player" or "Producers", but never "you".
- Names should be written in Western order (Touma Amagase). Use Japanese order only when referring to someone in Japanese (天ヶ瀬 冬馬).
Numbers and Dates[edit | edit source | hide]
- Numbers under nine should be spelled out. 10 and above use numbers.
- Dates must be given in the American order, Month first.
- March, April, May, June, and July should not be shortened. All other months can be abbreviated into each respective first three letters, with the exception of "Sept."
Japanese Text[edit | edit source | hide]
Preserving Kana and Kanji[edit | edit source | hide]
- For the most part, the game itself uses halfwidth Katakana. The exception seems to be during animations, which use fullwidth Katakana (Receiving Air during Business・エール, announcing a Live・ライブ開催, etc). When copying text over, keep the halfwidth Katakana.
Transliteration and Romaji[edit | edit source | hide]
- Whenever Japanese text is used on this wiki, the Romaji transliteration must be inserted using the {{tt}} template. This should be done in the Classic Editor. For more information, please see the Template:Tt page.
- Use the Hepburn standard for turning Japanese text into Romaji. The following mini-guide was lifted from Bulbapedia's Manual of Style:
- I-macron (Ī ī) and e-macron (Ē ē) is to be used when romanizing Japanese words of foreign origin, hence kōhī for コーヒー but Iizuka for いいづか. A hint to look out for is whether or not a bō (ー) is used to lengthen it.
- O-macron (Ō ō) is to be used for both おう (as in しんいちろう Shin'ichirō) and おお (as in おおづか Ōzuka)
- E-macron (Ē ē) is rarely used, except with the interjection ええ and some foreign loanwords.
- Please take note that verbs such as 思う omou and 呪う norou do not have long vowels.
- However, subjunctive forms such as 思おう omoō and 呪おう noroō do have long vowels.
- zu is to be used for both ず and づ; ji is to be used for both じ and ぢ.
- With ン/ん, there is some free choice whether to use n or m when followed by labial consonants p, b, f and m. Follow popular or established convention on a word-by-word basis, hence, Namba for ナンバ but Hanba for はんば.

Magazine Formatting[edit | edit source | hide]
See Genbu Kurono/Magazines for example. Main thing is to not put "quotes" around characters speaking unless they're acting as a character.
For translator's notes, put them into the magazine itself like in panel 1 of the example magazine here. You'll have to write nowiki (in <> brackets, put a / before nowiki in the second bracket) around the asterisk so that it doesn't show up as a bullet point.
User:Sankakujyougi uploads the new magazine images around near the end of each event, so don't worry about uploading those yourselves. See below on the code for this.

Event Scenes Formatting[edit | edit source | hide]
See Green Parade/Event Scenes for example. Put __NOTOC__ at the start of the page so that the table of contents won't appear. Categories go at the start (before 01) so that they don't end up affecting the categories of the base page. Categories to use:
